Who are We?

Religions for Peace (UK) is a chapter of World Conference of Religions for Peace, the largest global coalition of major religions taking action together to build peace. We have some 57 chapters and work in many of the most troubled regions on earth.

What do we do in the UK?

Religions for Peace (UK):

 works closely with leaders of a broad range of religious organisations and cooperates with other inter-faith, peace and civic organisations, to create partnerships that mobilize the spiritual, moral and social resources of individuals and communities, to address challenges together.

 helps communities transform words into creative action.

 helps you and your community gain knowledge, understanding and experience of pathways to justice, peace and harmony.

 offers speakers, and facilitators for workshops, on restorative justice, sustainable peace and creative harmony.

 issues a monthly email update and a quarterly electronic newsletter to keep you up to date with our work towards peace.

What do we do in Europe?

Religions for Peace (UK)

 works with communities throughout Europe, from Austria, France and Germany, in the west to the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Solvenia, in the east, helpint to develop a healthy civil society, where difference is accepted as enriching.

What do we Worldwide?

Religions for Peace (UK):

 works together with Religions for Peace (Sierra Leone), the world’s poorest country, to share, understand and learn how enduring peace can emerge from conflict.

 is a partner in the Hope for African Children Initiative, helping to secure protection, care and support for orphans and other vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS.

 is part of a Global Partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), taking action in the UK to help provide health, education, equality and protection for children in many of the poorest countries in the world.
